AMS-PAR is adding experienced revenue / gas plant lead auditors to our audit team.
Key Responsibilities
The revenue / gas plant lead auditors will be responsible for:
- Interpreting complex gathering, treating, processing, production handling, purchasing, and lease agreements.
- Developing audit approach and testing plan to assess compliance with agreed terms.
- Directing, coaching, and reviewing the work of team members.
- Participating as an individual contributor.
- Managing project budgets.
- Effectively communicating results and corrective action verbally and in written form throughout the engagement.
Key Candidate Attributes
- Revenue / gas plant lead auditor experience, including muti-person teams.
- Proven experience conducting audits of large processing plants, production allocations, and significant royalty interests.
- Knowledge of state and Federal reporting requirements.
- Critical and strategic thinker.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Organized and able to maintain well-documented workpapers.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large engagements.
- Self-directed and able to work independently in a virtual environment.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Conversant with current legal interpretations of common lease provisions.
- Willingness to mentor staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (accounting, mathematics, process engineering).
- Minimum 5 years of direct subject matter expertise.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft applications, gas plant settlement software, and larger ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP).
- Prior revenue and plant accounting experience a plus.
- Measurement experience a plus.
- Multi-lingual a plus.
Location / Travel
- Houston-based preferred, but office virtually.
- Less than 10%.
