JOB SUMMARY: We are looking for an experienced Senior Petroleum Accountant/Controller to join our
close-knit team at WelderXP Ltd. in San Antonio, TX
- RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate and oversee the accounting processes, including:
- JIB processing
- Revenue processing
- Financial Statement preparation
- Prepare and book bank deposits and transfers
- Prepare and cut checks
- Assure accurate, complete, and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, including:
- Journal entries
- Account reconciliations
- Operational reporting
- Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
- Accruals, GL, and Fixed Assets
- Lead Annual audit preparation and support
- 1099 submissions
- Preparation of various financial documents, including:
- Income Statement
- Balance sheet schedules
- P&L statements
- Preparation of Fund/Partnership financial documents, including:
- ARO, DD&A, and other schedules for audit/review
- Prepare individual evaluations
- Utilize GAAP Accounting
- Utilize COPAS Accounting Guidelines and Practices
- Capital Schedules
- Intercompany reconciliation
- Preparation of various tax reports, including:
- Coordinate with outside accounting firm on severance tax / sales tax reviews and quarterly reporting to states
- Coordinate with outside accounting firm on quarterly sales/use tax reports and fuel tax reports to states o Prepare annual depreciation and depletion tax schedules
- Develop and improve efficient & scalable processes using best practices that tie into the overall company operational structure
- Support accounting process research/investigation/troubleshooting as needed
- Ensure excellent teamwork with all company and contractor personnel.
- Coordinate and oversee the accounting processes, including:
- Desired Skills for Senior Controller
- CPA Certification
- Oil and Gas Accounting
- Knowledge of GAAP Accounting and COPAS Accounting Guidelines and Practices
