I am honored to serve as President of the PASSA for 2019 – 2021. I’ve worked in the Oil & Gas industry for approximately 30 years and loved every moment. I began my career in 1990 working for Union Pacific Resources (UPR) in Fort Worth, TX. I worked for UPR for 10 years until Anadarko Petroleum bought the company in 2000. I chose to not move to Houston and started looking for another Oil & Gas job. I was fortunate to find another job at Burlington Resources (BR) located right down the road from UPR’s office. I worked for BR for seven years until ConocoPhillips bought the company in 2007. I chose not to move to Bartlesville, OK and again started looking for another Oil & Gas job. About the time I started looking for a job, the Barnett Shale play was getting hot and Fort Worth was becoming a hopping Oil and Gas town. I again was fortunate to find my third Oil & Gas job working for EOG Resources located right down the road from BR. After eight years of working for EOG in our Fort Worth division, I was transferred to San Antonio to work in our Eagle Ford division operation’s accounting group. I’ve now been in San Antonio for almost five years.
As President, I have three simple goals this COPAS year:
- Provide the best Oil & Gas industry speakers to help broaden our industry knowledge.
- Keep PASSA informed of all COPAS national meetings, events, and publications that are currently being worked
- Grow our PASSA membership.
I thank all the folks that registered this year. Myself, the Board and Committee Chairs are looking forward to serving you.
